TEMPER'S TWILIGHT TALES AND TREASURES - Web special $10.00 + S&H

A collection of short stories and poetry by Sharon Duboy-Eberhardt

Sharon Eberhardt's stories take you to a place just beyond the boundary of your life - to the place you always suspected was there, but could never quite prove. Some people call it the Twilight Zone, others call it Magic Realism. Whatever the label, it's a little bit creepy, but also chilled with excitement. These stories are a delight!...Michael Bryson, Editor

Sharon Eberhard's stories are reminiscent of those Scary Stories to Read in the Dark books which were so popular in the 1980's. I can see this book being read aloud by the crackling embers at many a summer campfire...Richard Beales, Editor

Fans of the macabre will enjoy Sharon Eberhardt's debut work - there are some very unique ideas here!...Lisa Mallette, Library/Information Technician

A SPOT OF GREECE FROM EGYPT - $28.95 + S&H

Autobiography of Helen G. Jones (Matheacakis)

Helen Jones was born on March 5, 1921, in Alexandria, Egypt. Her parents left Greece in the early 1900's, during the time when Alexandria's streets were said to be paved in gold.

During WWII, Helen worked as a female telephone switchboard operator for Kom el Dik. She met her husband, Bill Jones, who was an Airman in the R.A.F. (Royal Air Force), at one of the Red Cross dances. They were married in Alexandria on January 8, 1945 and then moved to England where Bill's family lived. In 1948, Bill and Helen immigrated to Brantford, Ontario, Canada.

Helen settled into life in Canada and became heavily involved in the community. She was paramount in the instigation of the 'Core French' programs in Brant County schools, and also helped to implement a centre for those with mental challenges (such as schizophrenia).

Helen passed away in June of 2008, just seven days before her book was launched.
